The first time I saw Sweeney Todd was when my bro's high school did it (several years have passed). At the time I enjoyed the production, but I wasn't paying close attention to the lyrics.
Now that the movie's come out on DVD, and I've seen it again, one set of lyrics strikes me as fairly creepy.
In the movie, Anthony sees Johanna in the window and starts singing about her, but the second time he starts singing, it takes a bit of a turn:

"I'll steal you, Johanna,
I'll steal you.
Do they think that walls can hide you?
Even now, I'm at your window.
I am in the dark beside you,"

Does that strike anyone else as slightly creepy? I'm sure it doesn't help in the movie that Anthony's singing this while bloodied up. But really...'even now I'm at your window' is a disturbing kind of mental image.

Anyone else think that's creepy? Or if you've no opinion, have you seen the movie (or stage production if you like) and have an opinion on that?
